Texas custody battle tragedy

A custody battle in Texas turned into a murder-suicide just hours after a judge gave the father primary care of his 4-year-old daughter. Police say a Houston mother fatally shot her daughter just hours after a judge placed the girl in her father's primary care. She then shot herself and died in the hospital the following day. Vivian was supposed to go home with her father that same evening. Her stepfather and a babysitter were downstairs when they heard the gunshots. Her father followed the custody process all the way through and finally won primary care. He never got the chance to bring his daughter home. Another Lindsay Clancy effect? Source: NYP / Writer: Sol
