Brazilian clubs are pushing back hard against the Lula government by threatening to halt the Brazilian football championship. Their goal is to force a change on the new law banning betting house operations and advertising. To make this work, they want a transition period lasting between 6 to 12 months so they can keep things running as normal while the debate plays out.
