Douglas Stewart Carter released after 41 years
Douglas Stewart Carter is 71, Black, and has been incarcerated for 41 years. A judge ordered his release after a Provo hearing. He was on death row for the 1985 killing of Eva Olison, a crime he didn't commit. Utah County prosecutors dropped the death penalty once DNA results came back and didn't include him. Now the state is reassessing the remaining evidence. Fox 13 News has the latest. durk
