A gazebo by the Central Park boathouse is the kind of spot tourists hit for rowboat rentals and couples queue up at for photos, right in the middle of Manhattan. That's where a woman's body turned up, and the New York Post's account says she'd been stabbed several times and had head trauma. Worth putting next to this: the park went the whole of 2025 with no homicides at all. Nobody's been arrested. Police haven't named a suspect or offered a reason for the killing, and per writer Daniyal, without a motive they can't say what sort of threat they're looking at.
