Fifteen countries reported antimony mine output for 2023, and the top of that list is not close. China put up 41,000 metric tonnes, Russia 32,475, Tajikistan 14,800. From there it drops off a cliff: Bolivia 3,884, Türkiye 3,816, Myanmar 2,360, Australia 1,860, Iran 1,555, Mexico 576, Laos 480, Kazakhstan 400, Vietnam 394, Kyrgyzstan 85, Pakistan 40, Guatemala 25. All of it adds to 103,750 tonnes worldwide, per World Mining Data 2025. China's cut works out to 39.52% of the total, Russia's to 31.30%. So two countries carry most of it, and the whole thing runs through Worldly's Original Content series. What antimony even is, before the ranking: an industrial and strategic mineral, the kind that ends up in flame retardants, lead-acid batteries, alloys, glass and other specialized uses.
