Minecraft just confirmed the Ice Cave update is arriving with a full set of new mechanics. The expansion includes the Ice Caves biome itself, plus the Potion of Freezing for players to try out. You will also find throwable Ice Balls, collectible Ice Crystals, and hanging Icicles inside the caves. Even the undead get a chill treatment with the addition of a Frozen Zombie.
