Despite extremely frontloaded, AvengersEndGameEncore remains INEVITABLE as #1 in China’s BoxOffice, with the Endgame reissue grossing STRONG for a rerelease $4.2M on SAT over 75k screenings (same as yesterday), but harsh -40% drop from FRI Opening Day. Endgame hits a $11.2M rerelease cume in 2 days & a $643.3M lifetime cume in China, currently as #2 highest grossing Hollywood film locally, only below Zootopia2! $615k in pre-sales for SUN when it will play over 73k screenings (-3k from today) Eyeing a $13M-14M 3-day re-opening weekend, what would be way below Avatar’s $21.2M re-release opening weekend back in 2021, but still could challenge HarryPotterAndThePhilosophersStone’s $13.7M 3-day weekend as Hollywood’s #2 biggest reissue’s debut in China, and it would also still be one of the biggest debuts for any CBM Post-Covid.
