Largest Diamond-Producing Countries in the World — 2023 Diamonds are among the world’s most valuable mineral commodities, with production concentrated in a relatively small number of countries. For this ranking, rough diamond production is measured in carats, combining the gem and industrial diamond categories reported separately by World Mining Data. According to World Mining Data 2025, global rough diamond production in 2023 was about 111.52 million carats.
