Sydney Sweeney Hollow film

Katrina Van Tassel gets to be the main character this time around. Hollow is the film, and it's pulling from Lindsey Anderson Beer's book, which itself flips Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow so that Katrina sits at the center of everything rather than hovering at the edges. Sydney Sweeney is both starring as her and producing. Belmont Cameli, who people know from Off Campus, is on board as Brom Bones, one of the two guys caught up in the love triangle that swirls around Katrina. The other side of that triangle, Ichabod Crane, is still without an actor. The genre recipe here isn't a single lane. It's Gothic mystery mixed with psychological suspense, plus supernatural romance and erotic thriller notes running through it. At the heart of the plot is a mystery that turns dangerous, with the love triangle unfolding right alongside it. Beer wrote the novel, and she's also directing the adaptation and handling the screenplay herself. Producing the project are Sweeney's company Honey Trap and LuckyChap, Margot Robbie's company. Sony Pictures is the studio distributing. The plan is to have it out in fall 2027.
