Man United selling Old Trafford grass for £125

Manchester United supporters can now own a literal patch of Old Trafford. The club is selling 7×7 cm slices of the pitch grass for £125 a piece. Each sample sits in a glass cube, housed inside a black box, marketed as a stadium souvenir. The first run sold out immediately. What makes the timing interesting: the sale went live the same day United confirmed total debt still sits above £1.000 MILLION. On the books, the club posted record revenues of £677.6 M but a £43 M pre-tax loss. And the proposed new stadium could run past £2.000 MILLION. So the old ground is going out in tiny squares while the balance sheet tells its own story.
