Ana Kasparian on Mario X Nawfal

Ana Kasparian's answer to what Israelis should do instead of retaliating was two words: "Look inward." That lands against a specific situation. A car hit the son of Israel's ambassador to Washington near an IDF checkpoint in the West Bank, and he's in critical condition. Yechiel Leiter wrote that his son, an IDF reservist, needs a miracle. No one has established whether the driver was targeting him or would have hit anyone. Her point about what follows is where the frustration sits. For years, villages have watched families burned in their beds and olive groves torn out. Wanting to hit back is human. Once the hit comes, whoever was hunting an excuse has one. So West Bank Palestinians get no option that won't be turned against them, and settlers get no consequence for theirs. The ambassador's son should live. So should the families this gets used to bury.
