Halle Berry Catwoman 43 trained cats

The production behind Catwoman kept roughly 43 trained cats on hand, and each one had its own assignment: a specific animal for a specific movement, a specific behavior. Halle Berry's prep for Patience Phillips ran through those animals directly. She watched how actual cats carried themselves and folded those details into the performance instead of guessing at them. What I keep coming back to is the part nobody plans for. Berry reportedly grew so attached to one of the cats that she brought it home with her. So the film is remembered for the suit and for the performance everyone argues about, and tucked inside the making of it is this smaller story about an actor who ended up a cat person somewhere along the way.
