BTS Grammy withdrawal New York Times

The New York Times weighed in on BTS stepping back from the Grammys, framing it as a moment that could push the music industry to confront systemic racism. They point out that BTS, maybe the biggest act in the world since Jackson, might be the only Korean group with enough leverage and independence to force that conversation. The piece questions whether artists and entrepreneurs can finally make major institutions drop what it calls an addiction to racism disguised as demography, and insists that every artist, BTS, Bad Bunny, anyone, should reach the biggest market without being filtered or qualified out. #BadBunny
