He straight up said it was the only moment in his whole career where he was completely wrong-footed. He never pictured Ronaldo even trying a bicycle kick like that, let alone pulling it off in Turin. Buffon rated the difficulty at 1000 out of 100, calling it something only an extraordinary athlete could do. When the ball went in, there was no frustration, he just applauded. Then he walked over and asked Ronaldo, “How old are you?” Ronaldo’s reply? “I’m already 34. Not bad, right?”
