Cam Thomas contract gamble

Cam Thomas was seen as a piece of Brooklyn's future a year ago. Coming off consecutive seasons averaging 22 points, he reportedly passed on a two-year, $30 million extension and a one-year, $9.5 million offer, choosing to bet on himself without countering. That bet didn't land. The Nets and Bucks both waived him, and he's been off an NBA roster since March.
