Who Built These World-Famous Landmarks?

Ever wonder who was behind some of the planet's most iconic structures? For instance, Gustave Eiffel's company built the Eiffel Tower, and Adrian Smith designed the Burj Khalifa. Jørn Utzon is credited with the Sydney Opera House, while Shah Jahan commissioned the Taj Mahal. The monumental Great Wall of China saw its construction begin under Qin Shi Huang, and Vespasian oversaw the building of the Colosseum. The United States constructed the Panama Canal, and the Hoover Dam was built by Six Companies, Inc. Joseph Strauss led the design for the Golden Gate Bridge, and Bonanno Pisano was the original builder of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. César Pelli designed the Petronas Towers, and WZMH Architects were behind the CN Tower. Ferdinand de Lesseps spearheaded the Suez Canal project, with TransManche Link constructing the Channel Tunnel. Henry Bacon designed the Lincoln Memorial, and David Childs was the architect for One World Trade Center. #QinShiHuang #UnitedStates
