BC 2015 Super Blood Moon

September 27, 2015, southwestern bc saw a supermoon total lunar eclipse for the first time in over 30 years. during totality the moon turned deep copper red, and sea mist in vancouver and victoria scattered the light into a rusty glow. rayleigh scattering plus the supermoon's strong red light penetrating the fog did it.
