The sassy comedy starring OliviaColman scored 1.1M on BIGGEST WED in BlackBear’s history, up +19% (!!!) from TUE Discount Day, again playing over just 1.471 theatres. It was the only film to actually go up yesterday. It hits a 8.5M cume in the U.S. This weekend, it will beat JasonStatham’s actioner Shelter 12.8M run as the highest grossing release of BlackBear domestically. Better yet, BlackBear only paid 2.5M for the sex comedy’s US distribution rights, meaning they are mostly in the black with this release.
