@pavellimBernt Herlitz noticed something in the mouths of the migrant children he was treating as a dental hygienist in Sweden. Wisdom teeth, fully formed, in about 80% of the kids he examined. His read was that these weren't minors at all but adults over 18. He brought it to the Swedish Migration Agency, and on their suggestion put it in writing with concrete examples. The response was suspension, an investigation, and a firing for disclosing patient confidential data. That was 2017. He fought the dismissal in court and lost, then got hit with a fine of roughly $50,000. His family came close to financial ruin and needed benefactors to keep the house. Gotland has a dentist shortage and he's still unemployed. The detail that sticks: Swedish authorities had brushed off age checks like his as 'discriminatory', then later rolled out mass dental examinations to determine whether migrants with questionable claims were really the age they said. That double standard is the story tbh.
