@sandeepxThe idea that the underdog narrative finally winning the big one has been completely exhausted is what Sami Zayn landed on after his loss to Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble. He explained that the ship sailing moment came right then, even though he had wrestled Drew about nine months ago or maybe ten months ago by now and still didn't come out on top. It wasn't just that one time either because he was real close a couple of years back with all the Bloodline stuff and the fallout from that storyline too, but once he lost that specific match against Drew he realized you can't tell that story again. The Cinderella arc where the underdog finally wins the title card was done after losing to Drew because you can only get people on board once, twice, three times before it stops working. He admitted it wasn't the right time and he simply didn't have the momentum he had a year or two prior to that point. That realization forced him to struggle to accept that maybe he just missed the window entirely, slipped through the cracks, and it just won't happen for him. He has said this exact thing before in other interviews or when talking to friends or his wife or whatever else comes up in conversation. The conclusion he reached is that he has had a tremendous career and winning the world title at that specific point is just the cherry on top of everything else. It would be nice to have it but it's not like if he never wins it means he never got anything. You don't live and die by these things and you kind of just got to look at the big picture instead of fixating on one belt. #SamiZayn
