@not_a_charmProsecutors in Germany say a Ukrainian national, identified as Vadym Y., was picked up on suspicion of spying for Russia. The alleged contact with Russian intelligence, per the case laid out, went through a go-between and stretches back to at least July 2025. What he's accused of gathering: details on military personnel and installations that help shield NATO's eastern flank, plus production of ammunition, armored vehicles and explosives. Some of it was already out in public, though prosecutors allege he also tried to pull specifics from people working inside Europe's defense industry. A federal judge decides whether he sits in pre-trial detention. Reuters / Writer: Samuel
