@FootynewsDani Alves just dropped some heavy words in an interview with Equipo Diez and a chat with Cadena 3, answering the question of which duo was better for Messi: Jordi Alba or himself. The Brazilian defender picked Jordi Alba-Messi as the superior pairing without hesitation, citing friendship as the reason he will always go for his friends. When asked if his own partnership wasn't somehow better, he laughed it off and declared that his relationship with Christ surpasses his time playing alongside Messi. That wasn't the only point he made though. He also spoke up about how Lionel Messi was treated in Argentina before winning titles with the National Team. Dani Alves asserted that while Messi was a great representative, the way they treated him meant he had to earn respect every single step of the way. It makes you think about the years they spent together destroying defenses side by side.
