@savageupdatesBro actually compiled the full results from the Official Ballon d'Or B.O.A.T. Vote and Cristiano Ronaldo is sitting at 62% of the votes for his 2008 Ballon d'Or performance in this massive poll for the greatest winner ever. That lead is unreal compared to Lionel Messi who only managed 13% of votes for the 2012 Ballon d'Or in the same voting session. Messi did pull 9% for the 2023 Ballon d'Or but the numbers drop off pretty fast after that. Cristiano Ronaldo had 7% of votes for the 2017 Ballon d'Or and another 2% for the 2016 Ballon d'Or before hitting the single digit floor. Then you get down to the 1% tier where Lionel Messi took exactly 1% of votes each for the 2009, 2011, 2015, and 2019 Ballon d'Ors while Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed 1% of votes each for the 2013 and 2014 Ballon d'Ors. The stats get even more obscure with Lionel Messi receiving less than 1% of votes for the 2010 and 2021 Ballon d'Ors. Even absolute legends like Ronaldo Nazário barely registered with less than 1% of votes each for the 1997 and 2002 Ballon d'Ors. Marco van Basten received less than 1% of votes each for the 1988, 1989, and 1992 Ballon d'Ors in this count. Michel Platini also saw less than 1% for the 1983, 1984, and 1985 Ballon d'Ors. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge got less than 1% for the 1980 and 1981 Ballon d'Ors. Kevin Keegan received less than 1% for the 1978 and 1979 Ballon d'Ors. Franz Beckenbauer saw less than 1% for the 1972 and 1976 Ballon d'Ors. Johan Cruyff got less than 1% for the 1971, 1973, and 1974 Ballon d'Ors. Alfredo Di Stéfano received less than 1% for the 1957 and 1959 Ballon d'Ors. This data represents the Official Ballon d'Or B.O.A.T. Vote found at http://ballondor.com.
