@aoi_anime_op30The thing that got me is the Kamehameha stance. Masako Nozawa brought it up herself during this talk with Koichi Yamadera: back when she first started performing it, her feet sat pretty close together, and as Goku kept climbing, that stance just naturally widened out. That's decades of muscle memory tracking a power level in real time. Yamadera had walked her through the whole ladder first. Original Dragon Ball, then Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, and eventually Super Saiyan God. He pointed out there are so many versions of Goku at this point, and even after you think that's the ceiling, someone comes along later and says there's an even stronger one. So he asked her straight: do you approach the role thinking Goku is the strongest he can be in that moment, with no thought for what comes later? Her answer was simple. That's right, she always gives it her all. He pressed on it. Even after giving everything you've got, they still come back and tell you he'll get stronger? Nozawa said yeah, that news usually lands a few years down the line, and her reaction is just oh, really? He asked if she ever thinks enough already. She never does. It's okay, I'll do it. Yamadera said most people would admit they'd have held back a little if they'd known what was coming, or they'd flat out say he's getting too strong and to give it a rest. Not her. What surprised him is that the staff keep making these demands without hesitating. Nozawa said they do it almost every time. His read: the staff believe there's no ceiling on what she can do, and she takes that for granted right back at them. Her own framing is that from the listener's side, maybe there were limits. On her end, there weren't any. And the scope of it all. Goku started out as a strong fighter in the martial arts tournament, became the top of Earth, then the top of the universe, and now multiple universes are in play. By normal logic that should have been pushed way past the breaking point, but he just keeps evolving. Yamadera's conclusion is that nobody else in human history could sustain something like this except Masako Nozawa. Full Interview: https://dragonball-super.com/updates/detail.html?id=i-1ibn4tsik4
