Gulf ship strikes fastest pace of the war

@not_a_charm🇮🇷 The Strait of Hormuz is still a very dangerous place to be shipping oil. 8 ships have been confirmed hit in the past 7 days, and 5–15% of tanker transits could be getting struck. Meanwhile, oil flows through Hormuz have reportedly dropped from 16.2 million barrels a day to around 12–13 million. And Iran appears to be expanding its attacks beyond the Strait itself. The fact that oil is still moving through there at all is pretty remarkable. Source: Joe_Webster_CRR / Writer: Lynn

This is a data visualization, a line graph detailing ship strikes in the Persian Gulf. The graph shows the number of ships hit in the past 7 days, with a rolling total for three areas. The red line represents all three areas, while the gray line shows hits specifically in the Strait of Hormuz. A teal downward triangle marks a tanker turned back after an IRGC threat. The mood is informative and serious, presented in a clean, infographic style. Notable elements include the title "Gulf ship strikes hit their fastest pace of the war" and annotations marking key dates like "28 Feb war begins" and "8 Jul ceasefire ends." The graph highlights a peak of "11 ships hit in 7 days" between "29 Sep - 5 Oct."
