@timofeyActually, the global date harvest for 2024 looks wild when you see the numbers. Saudi Arabia led everything with 1,927,556 tonnes while Egypt came in second at 1,750,302 tonnes. Algeria wasn't far behind in third place with 1,337,300 tonnes and Iran hit 1,200,000 tonnes for the year. The gap gets bigger after that because Pakistan produced 604,243 tonnes and Iraq contributed 587,190 tonnes to the total. Sudan harvested 443,134 tonnes before Oman's output totaled 400,655 tonnes and Tunisia produced 400,219 tonnes. United Arab Emirates generated 333,632 tonnes and China recorded 162,330 tonnes of production. Morocco brought in 111,887 tonnes while the United States yielded 56,650 tonnes. Mexico's harvest was 17,598 tonnes and Kenya produced just 1,097 tonnes. Peru's output dropped to 461 tonnes and Colombia only managed 29 tonnes. These stats come from FAOSTAT covering agricultural production through 2024 but they flag many figures as estimated or imputed rather than independently measured national totals.
