@not_a_newtan Austrian school put an immigrant teacher in front of a German class, and the German is not holding up. kids can't fully follow what she's saying. she's making grammar mistakes right there in the room. so management's fix was to ask the 11-year-olds to help her learn the language. the students are supposed to be the ones getting taught, and instead they're being handed the teacher's homework. a father put it plainly: "If I teach a subject, then I have to be able to complete this subject. It cannot be that students have to help me. The students are there to learn from me." hard to argue with that. the whole thing is unbelievable and kind of hilarious at the same time, and it's peak DEI. why is this happening.
