@timofeyIndia actually pulled 866,111 tonnes of sesame seeds in 2024 while Myanmar followed with 720,000 tonnes. Sudan came next at 626,173 tonnes before Nigeria hit 450,000 tonnes. Pakistan produced 435,928 tonnes and Ethiopia sat right there with 435,456 tonnes. Brazil brought in 399,400 tonnes and China added 380,000 tonnes to the global total. Chad contributed 291,397 tonnes while Tanzania reached 272,670 tonnes. Burkina Faso managed 272,201 tonnes and South Sudan produced 175,612 tonnes. Mozambique supplied 173,819 tonnes and Niger hit 141,025 tonnes. Uganda finished strong with 140,000 tonnes and Cameroon added 75,000 tonnes. Mali produced 51,242 tonnes and Senegal came in at 45,000 tonnes. Mexico rounded out the list with 44,112 tonnes and Egypt closed it at 41,708 tonnes. These numbers cover the largest sesame seed-producing countries globally for 2024 from FAOSTAT via Our World in Data where some country figures may be estimates.
