@giantkebabPeru's Constitution Committee just voted to approve legislative powers requested by Keiko Fujimori, covering security matters and the El Niño phenomenon. The tally came in at 13 in favor, 5 against, with 2 abstentions. This approval moves the project forward to the Plenary of Deputies for debate. Should that body give it the green light, the proposal heads to the Senate of Congress for further discussion.
