@FootynewsLionel Messi scored in 23 straight matches during 2013. That number matters because no footballer in the history of the sport has ever put together a run of 13 consecutive matches with a goal. He nearly doubled the best anyone else has ever managed. Watching the same man celebrate over and over, game after game, was pure insanity. Barcelona had him, Qatar Foundation was on the shirt, and the whole thing just kept going.
