@aoi_anime_op30Hikaru Murata, the series director for BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, opened up about the complex process of animating Haschwalth’s new form and attacks. The team faced a significant challenge in visualizing the character's struggle with Yhwach’s power. Kubo-sensei had noted that Haschwalth appeared unable to fully control this immense energy, and Murata wanted the animation to reflect that instability. This required extensive trial and error from the production staff. The compositing section found it particularly difficult to express this lack of control effectively. Initial designs produced effects that looked nearly identical to the power surrounding Yhwach himself. This raised concerns among the team, with members asking if the visuals made it seem like Haschwalth actually had the power under control. To address this, the compositing team searched for a middle ground. They aimed for an effect that appeared somewhat muddled and not quite properly formed. Another key element was the liquid-like nature of the attacks. Kubo-sensei had commented on this aspect as well. Murata explained that they did not want the sword to simply grow larger while keeping its original shape. Instead, the goal was for it to gush out as if a water faucet had been turned too far, causing water to pour out suddenly. While this presentation might not look smart or elegant for Haschwalth, Murata believed it successfully conveyed the sense that he could not control the power properly. This approach defined how the team handled the sequence. #TiteKubo

The focus is on two stylized anime characters. One character stands holding a sword, with long flowing hair and a dark, fur-trimmed cloak. The other character is shown from the back, also with a fur-trimmed cloak. The mood is dark and dramatic, with a sketch art style. A notable detail is the mask-like markings on the face of the standing character. The text "ユ 新" is visible in the upper right corner, and "hAschwAlth" is written at the bottom.
