@FootynewsAnder Herrera revealed the crushing weight he carried before the 2020 Champions League final between PSG and Bayern. The anxiety was so intense that his mind fabricated physical pain, making him feel injured despite being fit. Pressure built up inside him until it felt like it would burst, leaving him unable to sleep. With the trophy placed directly in his view, he felt completely paralyzed. His own body seemed to scream that continuing was impossible. He avoided looking at the prize as if it were hot to the touch. While Herrera remained trapped in that mental low, Neymar entered the dressing room. He wore headphones, smiled, and moved to the beat of the music. His demeanor suggested they were preparing for a casual friendly match rather than a high-stakes final. Watching this, Herrera questioned how his teammate could remain so composed. Neymar noticed Herrera’s state, approached him, and took hold of him. "Look at it, brother, it's for us. Believe it," he said. This interaction forced Herrera to face the trophy, laugh, take a breath, and let go of the tension. For Neymar, this calmness was a strategic part of the psychological battle. Herrera realized then that each player manages pressure differently. There is no single correct method. Every athlete wants to be ready to win, but in that specific final, Herrera was so mentally blocked that he initially could not even see the trophy. #AnderHerrera #Neymar
