Senator Fabiano Contarato from PT-ES voted to end the 6x1 schedule, arguing that parliamentarians earning 1,621 reais on that roster would finally get it. He pointed out how women working 6x1 can't attend school activities on Saturdays and still face chores and cooking when they get home. Whenever workers' rights are at stake, the Congresso Nacional shuts its doors, he said. He noted that upon taking office, third-party employees had to pass through metal detectors while permanent staff and commissioned officials didn't. Senator Davi Alcolumbre was addressed directly, along with Deputy Erika Hilton and Reginaldo. The speaker called out a system where having any job deviation is treated as proof you're poor or black, in a country where people are judged by skin color and poverty gets criminalized.
